What are the mandatory standards that need to be followed when installing a generator

The mandatory standards that need to be followed during motor installation are:

GB/T7409-1997 Technical requirements for excitation systems of large and medium-sized synchronous generators for synchronous motors.

GB7894-2000 Basic Technical Conditions for Hydroelectric Generators.

GB8564-1988 Technical Specification for Installation of Hydroelectric Generators.

DL/T491-1992 Operation and Maintenance Regulations for Static Rectification Excitation System of Large and Medium sized Hydroelectric Generators.

DL/T583-1995 Technical Conditions for Static Rectification Excitation System and Device of Large and Medium sized Hydroelectric Generators

DL/T622-1997 Technical Conditions for Elastic Metal Plastic Thrust Bearing of Vertical Hydroelectric Generator.

Generally, it is required that each hydroelectric generator and excitation device should have a manufacturer's rating plate. In order to check the quality of manufacturing,

installation, and maintenance, as well as to understand the parameters and characteristics of the generator, necessary tests should be conducted in accordance with relevant

national and industry standards to determine whether the generator can be put into operation.

The main auxiliary equipment such as the generator body, excitation system, computer monitoring system, cooling system, etc. during operation should be kept intact, and the

protective devices, measuring instruments, and signal devices should be reliable and accurate. The entire unit should be able to operate at rated load under specified parameters

and operate for a long time in the allowed operating mode.

The changes in the structure of the main components of the generator should be subject to technical and economic analysis, and the opinions of the manufacturer should be

sought and approved by the higher-level supervisory department. Newly installed generators should undergo major repairs according to the manufacturer's specified deadline.

If there is no manufacturer's regulation, an inspection overhaul should be conducted after one year of operation. The interval for future major repairs should be determined in

accordance with relevant national and industry standards, as well as the actual operation of the unit.

The generator should undergo preventive testing in accordance with national and industry standards and relevant testing procedures, standards, and deadlines. Each generator

should have necessary operating spare parts, special tools, and technical data, which mainly include:

1) Spare parts necessary for operation and maintenance.

2) Installation, maintenance, and usage instructions for the generator, as well as product drawings provided randomly.

3) Various records of generator installation, inspection, and handover testing.

4) Records of generator operation, maintenance, testing, and start-up/shutdown (including technical documents).

5) Generator defects and accidents, bearing runout records.

6) Regular preventive tests and insulation analysis records for generators and their ancillary equipment.
