What is the gyroscopic torque of the bearing?
The torque of the imported rolling bearing gyroscope relies on the rolling contact between its main components to support rotating or swinging parts, and the friction
between its relative moving surfaces is rolling friction.
The basic structure of rolling bearings
(1) Inner and outer rings with raceways;
(2) Rolling element (ball or roller);
(3) A cage that separates and guides the rolling elements.
Some SKF bearings can use one less ring (inner or outer ring), or neither inner nor outer ring, and the rolling elements can roll directly along the raceway.
The inner ring is mounted on the shaft neck, and the outer ring is mounted in the bearing seat. Usually, the inner ring rotates with the shaft and the outer ring is fixed,
but there are also cases where the outer ring rotates while the inner ring remains stationary, or where both the inner and outer rings rotate simultaneously.
The commonly used rolling elements include ball, cylindrical roller, INA needle roller bearing, tapered roller, spherical roller, asymmetric spherical roller, etc. The raceways
on the inner and outer rings of the bearing limit the lateral displacement of the rolling elements.
The main advantages of commonly used rolling elements compared to sliding NIN bearings are:
1. The friction torque and heat generation are relatively small. Within the usual speed range, the friction torque rarely changes with speed. The starting torque is much
lower than that of sliding bearings (80-90% smaller than the latter);
2. Easy maintenance and low lubricant consumption;
3. The bearing has a large load-bearing capacity per unit width;
4. Greatly reduce the consumption of non-ferrous metals.
The disadvantage of rolling NSK bearings is that their radial outer dimensions are larger than those of sliding bearings; High contact stress, poor ability to withstand
impact loads, and low lifespan under high-speed heavy loads; The cost of producing special rolling bearings in small batches is relatively high; The damping capacity
is lower than that of sliding bearings.
