The disassembly of bearings should be carried out with the same care as during installation. Be careful not to damage the bearings and their components, especially the
disassembly of interference fit bearings, which is difficult to operate. So, in the design phase, it is important to consider in advance the convenience of disassembly, and it
is also crucial to design and manufacture disassembly tools as needed. During disassembly, study the disassembly method and sequence according to the drawings,
investigate the fitting conditions of the bearings, and ensure that the disassembly operation is foolproof.
1. Disassembly of outer ring
Disassemble the outer ring of the interference fit, and set several outer ring compression screws on the circumference of the shell in advance. Tighten the screws evenly
while disassembling. These screw holes are usually covered with blind plugs, tapered roller bearings, and other separable bearings. Several notches are set on the housing
shoulder, and a cushion block is used to disassemble them with a press or gently tapping them.
2. Disassembly of cylindrical bore bearings
The disassembly of the inner ring can be done using pressure machinery to pull out the latest and simplest method. At this point, it is important to ensure that the inner
ring bears its pulling force. The inner ring of large bearings is disassembled using hydraulic pressure method. Oil pressure is applied through oil holes set on the shaft to
facilitate pulling. Bearings with a large width can be disassembled using both hydraulic pressure and drawing tools. The inner ring of NU and NJ cylindrical roller bearings
can be disassembled using induction heating method. The method of heating the local area in a short period of time to expand the inner ring and then pulling it out.
3. Disassembly of taper hole bearings
Disassemble a relatively small bearing with a tightening sleeve, support the inner ring with a stopper fastened to the shaft, turn the nut back a few times, and then use a
cushion block and hammer to disassemble.
Large bearings are easier to disassemble using hydraulic pressure. The method of disassembling bearings is to pressurize and send oil through the oil hole on the tapered
shaft to expand the inner ring. During operation, there is a possibility of the bearing suddenly coming out. It is best to use the nut as a stopper.
